Sean Balfe – Commercial Director

Sean is the Commercial Director of Asla. Having served his apprenticeship in the Greenock shipyards he moved on to hold senior positions in the Offshore and Nuclear power industries. 

As his career developed he worked extensively in Facilities Management where he was responsible for the relocation and start-up of several Manufacturing locations throughout Europe. 

For the last fourteen years he has been a Commercial/Recruitment Director for two highly successful consultancy companies and has played a major part in that success. Sean is passionate about the reputation of the business and recruiting the right people for our clients.  He is a key member of the transformation team that are positioning the company to achieve their strategic goals. 

Kevin Taylor – Managing Director

Kevin is Asla’s Managing Director. With over 25 years of experience in leading and optimising manufacturing operations, he is a hand-on leader who has helped many clients transform their operations into best in class facilities by application of his deep manufacturing experience combined with industry best practise.

After graduating from the University of West of Scotland with a degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering, Kevin learned his trade in high-volume manufacturing, progressing through a series of roles from production scheduling, production management to senior production scheduler and eventually Operations Director for a $75m business. 

Kevin’s deep experience of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodology has enabled him to help a number of clients unlock significant value within their operations. During this time he has led or participated in a number of projects for global companies including Lean implementations, Production Management, Supply Chain, post-acquisition integration and footprint optimisation.

Kevin has overall responsibility for the successful delivery and execution of our client projects. His extensive experience and knowledge enables him to mentor and guide our associates and provides our clients with additional value-add to optimise results.
